Our Approach
We’ve designed and built this website with accessibility in mind from the ground up. Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for accessible web content.
Features We’ve Built In
To support a wide range of users and assistive technologies, this site includes:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper headings, landmarks, and ARIA labels so screen readers can navigate logically
- Keyboard-friendly navigation — every interactive element can be reached and operated without a mouse
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users always know which element is active
- A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page for screen reader and keyboard users
- Color contrast tested to meet or exceed WCAG AA ratios for body text and interactive elements
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images so screen readers can convey what they show
- Form labels properly associated with inputs, including required-field indicators
- Responsive layout that adapts to phones, tablets, desktops, and zoom levels up to 200%
- Plain, clear language wherever possible
Known Limitations
We are continuously working to improve accessibility, but a few areas may still pose challenges:
- Some older project photos may have shorter alt text than we’d like. We’re reviewing and updating descriptions over time.
- Our contact form is processed by EmailMeForm, a third-party service. After submission, you may be directed to a page hosted by EmailMeForm whose accessibility we do not control directly.
- Links to third-party sites (Facebook, etc.) are outside our control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.
How to Get Help
If you’re having trouble accessing any part of this website, or you’d like the information on a page in a different format, we’re happy to help directly. The fastest way to reach us is by phone — we’ll talk through your question, take your project details, or send you the information you need.
Sending Us Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, please let us know. When you reach out, it helps if you can include:
- The page or URL where you ran into the issue
- A description of what you were trying to do
- The assistive technology, browser, or device you were using (if applicable)
We’ll review your feedback and respond as quickly as we can. Your input genuinely helps us make this site better for the next visitor.
Ongoing Effort
Web accessibility is not a one-time project but a continuous process. We periodically review our site, test it against current standards, and update content and code as needed. This statement will be updated to reflect significant changes.
